Sugar Creek Knifeworks

Hard use knives for Hunters and Woodsmen

Effective  July 1, 2011 Sugar Creek Knifeworks will stop taking orders.

However, this doesn’t mean that we will discontinue making knives.  When I complete all the knives that I have on the books, I will start making knives in batches and offer them for sale via my website and my two vendor forums on Bush Craft USA and Knife Forums.

I believe this will better serve my customers. Everyone will have an equal chance at buying a knife while allowing me to continue to keep prices at a reasonable rate. Adopting this new system will also allow me to better schedule special runs and projects.

You will still see occasional custom knives from me, mostly from a few friends that help me test and who develop prototypes.

Again, if you have a knife on order from me this will in no way effect that order.  I will produce my backlog to completion.

Sugar Creek KnifeWorks is not going away.   We consider this as a new and  exciting phase that will allow us to continue to grow our business.

My knives are designed for the serious hunter or woodsman.

I craft all of my knives with  O-1 tool steel . I use the stock removal method to  produce my knives.

The grinds are flat grinds with a convex edge.  I can put any height flat grind that you desire on any of my knives.
All of my scandi grinds will have a convex micro bevel for extra strength.

I perform all of the work from start to finish on each knife .  I pride myself in being able to produce a fine quality knife, from designing a knife to the finished blade. All heat treating is performed in house in a professional heat treat oven.

I use only  American made materials when at all possible regardless of cost.

Standard handle materials are Black or Tan or Green canvas micarta, Black linen Micarta or Walnut Dymondwood.

All knives are supplied with a quality leather sheath or a kydex sheath.

Knives can be purchased without a sheath if you make your own or want something different.
I recommend these guys for your custom sheath needs.
